The big spenders in the new AAC

Postby Water Pony » Fri Sep 06, 2013 2:51 pm

Memphis Business Journal

"As we’ve already discussed, spending on football tends to translate into wins on the field. So who’s the big spender in the new conference?"

SMU appears competitive on this scale, except against Rutgers and Louisville.

There were interesting numbers out there comparing the top 25 universities and how much it costs them to win a game (e.g. $$ per win).
Not sure where these numbers come from, but it seems like SMU comes in 3rd with respect to, amount of money spent to get a win; UH being a distant 1st.

Does that include scholarship expenses? If so, our spending is woefully low.
