Just announced that Roger will the the keynote speaker at the SMU Football Kickoff Luncheon on Aug. 17.

Guess he'll be focusing on the SMU vs Navy game. Hopefully, it will be the one in which he played and not our most recent encounter with the Middies.

While I respect and admire 'The Dodger', wasn't there someone from SMU's legendary alumni ranks who also could have served as a keynote speaker?

Staubach is a Naval Academy alum and a Heisman trophy winner. I will be interested to hear what his involvement with SMU will be, especially as a Dallas resident. If he 'adopts' SMU, it could lead to bigger and better things down the road!
