Jesus Intervenes on Behalf of MrMustang1965

Heaven, TX /HeavensNewswire/ -- 12 July 2005 -- Jesus, the Son of God, announced today that the SMU season opener will no longer be broadcast on TV. Due to repeated prayers from MrMustang1965, he has decided to use his powers to have the game cancelled. "I just got so sick and tired of MrMustang1965 wasting my time with needless prayers asking for a Mustangs victory and then this TV thing. I hope this puts an end to the hourly prayers asking for my help with the upcoming season." Jesus makes a point of not intervening with athletic contests since his involvement with the 1969 NY Mets.

"We're very excited about this tremendous boost to our football program," said SMU President R. Gerald Turner. "Our University community, alumni, and other fans appreciate the efforts of Jesus and the corresponding boost in game attendance for this important game."
