He did it other games as well, such as Rice last year. It's a short alma mater - give me a break! I've heard from some close NFL sources that he has always been considered a good guy, I just wish he could transform that into a better program. I guess he just doen't get the college thing, which might not have been as big a deal at Hawaii. Hey, at least the DJ seems more subdued this year and we get a few food trucks! Go Ponies

Fact: The way you dress does not determine how proficient at your job you are.
Fact: If you suck at your job and you act and dress like it doesn't mean anything to you, your boss will notice and get pissed at you faster.

Stoic-face June in a hard fought battle gets no criticism. Stoic-face June in the middle of embarrassing loss after embarking loss gets noticed. Think it's unfair? Don't duck at your job. Coupled with the fact that his team seems poorly coached, his offense doesn't work, and no large adjustments are made game to game or opponent to opponent, he begs criticism.

I think you can make the argument that JJ's demeanor shouldn't mean anything, however if we had an emotional based coach maybe more fans would be into it, because just saying him in his stone cold looking face says to me as a fan, "Hes here to collect, and could careless at the end of his contract if SMU football is shut down. We need a coach that has the do-or-die feel to him to these players (IMO). I think the players would feel they have some form of a "higher-calling" to their position to protect the legacy of our past and to spur us to go above and beyond what an analyst says.

Ed Orgeron was [deleted] insane on the sidelines. He once ripped his shirt off in a pregame speech at Ole Miss to fire up his players. Career record as HC: 10-25

Convinced: Emotionless is better.

Nice Strawman Argument.
