SMU was 1-3 last year and beat UTEPIn the conference opener. So they are familiar with this situation.

Re: SMU was 1-3 last year and beat UTEPThe competition in AAC is better than the teams we faced in conference USA.

Re: SMU was 1-3 last year and beat UTEPEnough with the sunshine bullsh*t already. Who cares if we beat Rutgers? We are just trying to sort out if we are one of the worst teams in the country or just in the bottom 25%.
Re: SMU was 1-3 last year and beat UTEPExactly 2007! Exactly... No one will respect us if we go 8-0 especially the conference if they allow is to be number one or 2.

If you don't care if we beat Rutgers then I have to ask how on earth you call yourself a fan? Mustangs Abu!
Re: SMU was 1-3 last year and beat UTEPIt does us no good to do anything but hope SMU wins on Saturday. This is true of every game every year. We won't get a better draft pick.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Re: SMU was 1-3 last year and beat UTEP
If we win all 8 conference games -> then our conference will look pathetic. -> because we got whooped by P5 teams. Thus if we go 8-0, it does nothing to change the perception that we are bottom 25%. Make sense?
Re: SMU was 1-3 last year and beat UTEPAlumni11 I get what you are saying. However I think that we can improve on that if the AAC teams do well in bowl games. UCF are playing well, UH though I hate to say it, Louisville of course and if we could make a bowl and win it we could bring respectability to the conference. Go 8-0 we'd better get a good bowl opponent and we'd better win.
God that would be a dream. Let's beat Rutgers and take it from there. Mustangs Abu!

I gotcha. I just literally didn't understand your sentence. ![]() BOP - Providing insensitivity training for a politically correct world since 1989.
Re: SMU was 1-3 last year and beat UTEPLol sorry for the sarcasm it's in my nature. However Abu, Louisville is moving on and they are the exception to the conference. Excluding them from the picture, UCF is really the only true bannister team in the AAC. Maybe Cincy. The coogs have to actually play good consistent football, they have had too many breaks going their way and a half decent team (not us) would have lit them up. Meanwhile we are getting trounced, UCONN and USF should just focus on basketball, temple is a basketball school and so on. I mean if we beat UCF which we won't but if we did than I would have hope but right now with my Rangers out and this atrocious team, I'll probably just get back to my fantasy football team in NCAA football 14 where SMU goes to the BCS every year...
SMU was 1-3 last year and beat UTEP
It's about the big picture man. I want whatever puts us in a better position a few years down the road. This one specific game means nothing in the trajectory of our program. I'm not saying I want us to lose. I'm just saying it doesn't make a damn bit of difference.
Re: SMU was 1-3 last year and beat UTEPIf SMU goes 8-0 in conference and is only undefeated - they are in a BCS bowl.
Not gonna happen, but those who are not rooting for 8-0 in conference and want us to lose should go root for TCU. "Moral Victories Make Me Sick" - TR

Re: SMU was 1-3 last year and beat UTEPRutgers has already won as many games as UTEP did all of last season.
