SMU Passing Game Ranks Seventh Nationally

But we don't have the same results as other top passing teams.

We’ve done some good things in parts of games, but we haven’t put it all together,” coach June Jones said. “Whatever it takes to win; if it takes shutting them out, shut them out. If it takes 56 points, you’ve got to do that.

But, he doesn't do that.

We might well be 3-2 with some defense on the field. Can't blame the offense so much this year.

We could just as easily be "winless" right now as well.

Apparently he forgot about the "if it takes 56 to win, you've got to do it" part. We should be 5-0.

Its more than just the D. They have been stout early, see Tech and TCU game, but the O hasn't put the points on the board to give us a lead to play with. Also a lot of key mistakes on special teams and way too many turnover/penalties. We just haven't put together a complete game yet in all 3 phases.

SMU is averaging 13 ppg entering the 4th Q and down 2 TDs. That is not strong. Throw the ball downfield and make them cover all our weapons

If our defense stepped up, we would be 5-0. But our offense hasn't stepped up except vs Rutgers. Offense did not give us a solid lead in the first half vs TCU, where we could have been 28-7 on the half! TCU's comeback might have been better absorbed by us and we could have won

What weapon"s"??? And weren't we all complaining about how all June does was throw the ball deep and we never completed any passes?

Maybe he's forgotten more football than all of us will ever know?
