I think OU has found their QB-I had no idea Trevor Knight was this good-especially against the "Flawless Offense, Defense and Special Teams" of Alabama. SMU and UT didn't offer this San Antonio kid btw-everybody else in the vicinity including LSU, OSU and OU and Big 12 schools did

Yep. Also Mich St. and Stanford stuck to their tradition as well. Classy. On the the other hand, what was UCLA thinking with their Sun Bowl unies. Black. ugh. Even the announcers made comments. They were asking why would a school mess with their great, recognizable uniforms.

Just as soon as we can get to an 8 team playoff. My fear is that could come in the form of the current P5 conferences becoming 4 and the 1st round of what would amount to a national playoff would be those conference championship games. Seriously doubt SMU will be invited if it comes to that, not that we realistically have any chance of ever competing for a national championship (at least at the highest level) in football ever again. I do believe that as long as we are competing at the "big boy" level, we have a chance to build a national championship basketball team.

We do need an 8 team playoff. We do have a chance at a BCS game. But if an eight team playoff can into place it would give more of a chance for teams like SMU in the AAC to get in it rather than a 4 team conference. I would probably guarantee UCF thinks that can compete at the highest level as their fans are not wimps. Football drives the ship and if we ever want to get invited to a power conference we have to win big in football.
