Typically, even with our now-NFL JUCO players (Crawford, Moore), it took them a number of weeks - and games - to really get clicking. I remember people bagging on Crawford after his debut at Texas Tech when we lost 31 - 27.

Shead was robbed of over a month of adjustment and development by that garbage horse-collar tackle against TTU this year, and then was injured again. If he can stay healthy, I think he can be a quality component of the running game.

That said, Pope looked great against UCF and as a 5th year senior ought to provide a boost.

I think most people have written off Line. He just is not fast enough to run the ball. Maybe June can convert him to LB or NT?

As I understand it, we will have Klemchi, Shead, and Lagasse back? If you add Pope to that crew, it would be very nice.

I would take a healthy Pope at full time RB over any other RB on the roster.

I love Pope. And not because I'm an Irish catholic. A guy I work with, and huge Aggie, asked me who he was and called him a "stud". I haven't heard him pour anything but scorn on non-Aggies.

Pope is a stud. Glad to hear he could be back in 2014- interesting we're making him a RB full-time, I thought inside LB was a bigger position of need for us but maybe not

I hope everything works out and the NCAA clears him because it will obviously make a huge difference in 2014.

not sure how we can have a bigger position of need than RB - we have nothing there without this move.

How about defensive back? 3rd and 24 in 2OT against Rutgers? I wonder what happened on that play...

Don't write off Line. His brother didn't blow people away right away either.

You seem to have written off KC in your last verbiage spout.
