Today I learned that in 1998, Ricky William's wore 37 in honor of Doak Walker's passing. I thought it was an interesting fact...

Yes. The dude is an absolute nut but he at least had his head in the right place that day.

He had won the Doak Walker award the year before in 1997 and won it again in 1998.

I agree that Williams seemed to have a screw loose, but that was a really classy move on his part.

I was in school at UT when Ricky was there. He was a flake, but not a bad guy.

I once explained Ricky like this: Ricky is the guy that breaks into the pool at 3am to go swimming - not vandalize it.

Since you brought him up....what is the official and unofficial way universitites and athletic departments now handle drug use by its players and coaches. Are certain types like weed acceptable as long as it is done quietly. Kind of like underage drinking.
