Not my words, but it summarizes it perfectly. It was a terrible potential hire for them, as evidenced by the booster mutiny and firing of the one person who tried to hire him.

Does leaving ASU for the largest athletic budget in America count as being fired?

Wasn't it the person before that person that got fired for trying to hire that person the other persons did not want?

Yes, it was Lisa Love who tried to hire June and was let go, not the recent one

Lisa Love tried to hire June. Lisa Love royally screwed up that coaching search and caused an enormous backlash in the process. She also did a lot of other things poorly, and it was an easy decision to can her. But her last revenue search before getting pink slipped was the Erickson-Jones-Graham search and she turned it in to a circus.

Maryland gave thought to hiring JJ before going with Randy Edsall away from UConn. I would bet there are some Terp fans who wish their school had hired JJ. Then Arizona State tried to hire JJ. Someone out there thinks he has done some things pretty well. I think he has done some things pretty well. I also think there are things he could have done a lot better. Hopefully we see that next year.
