Congrats TCU. TCU throughly outplayed OU both offensively and defensively. Defense shows unbelievable improvement as they stuff OU's running game and had no major DB breakdowns. WARNING SMU fans that don't have tickets better get them while you can because this will be a TCU Metroplex opener otherwise.

Conratulations indeed. Wow.

Now the Ponies just need to beat Baylor, otherwise... I don't even want to think about next week.

Time to hit the 'vard!!! (Well, soon.)

This brings up some interesting subjects. For starters, OU obviously has a butt load of "top" recruits...after all, they are a BCS school. Seems like good coaching can make up for that supposed lack of top recruits. Patterson's staff did a hell of a job in preparing their team for this game. TCU's offense fizzled in the second half, but their defense which was horrible last year secured the win for them.

Texas has a real good chance of beating OU this year...unless Stoops can perform a miracle between now and when they play Texas.

I have to admit, I was seriously rooting for TCU today. The completely outplayed OU and Gunn was very impressive. We better bring our A+ game next Saturday or it will be ugly.

First things first: I hate the froggies, but let's give credit where credit is due. Congratulations to Coach Patterson and his team.

Now....

Two ways to look at this:

1. The froggies beat OU. Holy crap.

2. Ponies beat Baylor, Ponies beat TCU next week, OU beats UT, UT beats A&M, Texas Tech and the rest of the Big 12 South. SMU is the best team in Texas.

As long as I don't have to take a drug test, I'll take option #2.

the positive for SMU is this will sell about 5,000-8,000 exrea tickets NEXT week which if SMU gets ticket sales, parking and concessions could mean $150,000 to $240,000 for a cash strapped program. I hope all SMU fans fill those seat but they won't so let's at least make some cash.

Give TCU their props

Even though a strong TCU is bad for SMU, I was pulling for them against OU. The MWC is going to crash the BCS soon. As for SMU, we need to focus on our development and not envy our competitors but join them in getting better too.
