Well, I spent one year with Caven and now starting year 4 with Bennett. Made it to almost every home game and a couple of games on the road. I'm done after tonight. I have spent my last dollar on SMU Football. I tried but I am too tired to keep trying. This game was so winnable. The call before half to go for it a midfield, was a terrible call, no matter how you try to explain it. Took momentum away, and on top of that, they were getting the ball to start the second half. Told my family at half that we would lose. Why? We let Baylor hang around, when the killer instinct should have put them away the first half. No wins in Sept., yet again. I like Phil Bennett personally, but must admit, this will probably be his last season. I except no more than 1 win, two if we are lucky. In any case, we start the year 0-3. In my opinion, SMU Football at the 1-A level is done and it is time all of us admit it.

What did I see good? We are bigger, but still not big enough. The defense just wore down. Same thing I have seen going on 5 years now. Defense stays on the field WAY too long. Where was Richel Massey when we recovered the muffed punt? That guy was looking good. I look up and it is Eckert and Fred Turner in the backfield!!! What the ?. Can someone explain that, please?

Well I am tired and emotionally drained. Time to turn it in.
