Here it is--SMU's chance to shine on National TV on a huge party night. And the stage is ours and ours alone (I suppose it's also UABs, but anyway...). Hopefully, the Mustangs will go out and show the nation that they still exist and can be fun to watch. Let's try to make it a BLOWOUT!!!

Hopefully we don't get dominated like Willis and the Raiders did that night.

Hey, tp, didn't Willis play on national TV twice? Didn't ESPN/ESPN2 televeise the SLC Denton Ryan game in back-to-back years?
Maybe I am wrong, or maybe one year they televised and J-Dub wasn't the QB... regardless, we need him calm cool and collected tonight.

Drove by Ford Stadium at about 9:00 a.m. today. The ESPN satellite TV trucks are already set up on the southwest side of the stadium.
If you're traveling westbound on Mockingbird, there's a BIG neon highway sign near the University/Barnes & Noble Bookstore flashing a message: "SMU FOOTBALL GAME TONIGHT; EXPECT TRAFFIC DELAYS".
I hope enough fans show up to make this signage worth the effort.

Ok, coach...seriously. give me a little more creative repsonse than that...."When Ramon and the boys went up against Fresno, now that was a heck of an important battle...blah, blah.." I think this could be the turning point game....onward, or backwards....

I'm going to go with the biggest game since '97 @ TCU.

I believe you are right, but for some reason I can only remember one game for sure being on espn...

that did happen but Southlake was a superior team and Willis did play very very well..
since UAB is not a superior team + willis showing he can play very well on national tv (when he was 17 yrs)=win for smu tonight

LOVE THAT. An SMU football game SHOULD screw up traffic, dammit, whether it's Tuesday night or Saturday afternoon.

I know its UAB @ SMU, but why couldn't ESPN put this game on ESPN, not ESPN2? My channel guide said it was "The World Series of Poker" all night. Sweet
