BLVD is sold out

Postby BrianTinBigD » Wed Jun 06, 2007 10:10 am

Apparently, there are no tailgating spots left in the Southern section where most tailgating occurred. So for those of us that have been hanging out there for the last 3 years, you are going to have to move. I was informed that there are still 2 tents left and all kinds of space in the new tailgating areas. I had managed to pull together the money to buy a space($480) but all the spaces went to Mustang Club memebers that had higher donation levels. Looks like this will doom the BLVD since there are no more general tailgating in this area. I am currently pissed so this is all I am going to post.

There is a fine line here. On the one hand, it's fans like you who have supported the program through these last two decades of very lean years that deserve credit and benefits for sticking with the program when many did not. On the other hand, the school and athletic department need to generate more revenue and the Boulevard is one of the few successes they have to lure bigger donations and generate some revenue. I hope you'll be able to find a suitable tailgating spot close enough to the action to keep you coming out to support the program. I'm also happy to hear that the athletic department is having some success selling something that is related to Mustang sports. I hope this is a sign that season ticket sales are up this year.

I bet you a billion dollars there are plenty of nonalcohalic tailgating spots left.

This does not surprise me. I would think that all of the Blue seats at Moody are sold also.

With the help of this board and it's members, I have a spot on the Boulevard again this coming year. We will do our best to keep the party going. I know that Special Delivery will be there too.

SMU made some extra money and that is good. I would like to have heard that the other spots have sold. After the revised tailgate brochure came out I was worried. In the brochure many of the alternate spots were removed. Was this done because sales were not as projected or because of adjacent construction. Maybe a little of both.

Come to the BUS stop and say hello.

#1 LET"S WIN GAMES

That will fix a lot of ills.

Go Mustangs

Oh, I think tents are $750.?

I'll just tailgate on the south part of the 'vard in the same guy's spot whose seats on sit in on the fifty because he doesn't show up. (No not mrydel's). It'll probably be lonely down there though.

If you pony up the $200 I will make sure it is either near the Theta's or I will get you your own dedicated Theta.

Looks like with the extra money this is going to cost I will just have to keep doing the same for my seats as well.

$200 for a Theta is cheap compared to what my Chi-O wife is costing me now.

Agreed, as long as they show up to tailgate. I would love to sit in the lower level at the basketball games but they are all sold to blue hairs who don't come to the games.
