I don't know what can be done about this, but I bought 4 $47 tickets in section 108 (supposed to be "our side") and was SURROUNDED BY DRUNK TECH FANS who would not stop harrassing me, my wife and my 6-year old daughter and 5-year old son. I have never experienced classlessness like that--constant cursing and beratement of all things SMU, spitting near our seats, telling my daughter in a cheerleader outfit that she should be embarrassed to wear it, etc. We were forced to move and scavenge for more friendly seats 10 minutes into the game. I also know this was not an isolated incident.
While I know Tech fans are classless by nature and SMU cannot help this, there has to be something SMU can do to minimize this type of situation for its own HOME FANS, especially when we are paying $47 a ticket. Maybe we were outnumbered 10 to 1, but at least make an effort to keep SMU fans from being isolated like that. I know one thing...I will never buy another ticket in section 108 again (sad), regardless of who we are playing.
Rough day. Boulevard was fun, but the overall experience has left me with a lack of any desire to travel back and do it again.

I would also like to know how atleast 20 tech fans were seated in section 204. Right on the fifty. They had better seats than I did and they were tech fans. I am a season ticket holder, shouldn't I be on the fifty. If not we need to find out who has the tix Sec 204 Row 10 Seats 25-10. That SOB didnt show and gave his tix to rednecks.

For what it is worth, my oldest is in Miller dorm as we speak. After Monday's charlie foxtrot, it is becoming much easier to be a Tiger fan.

That is exactly what you need to do.

We'll give you the Rick Perry farewell, crybaby. You would certainly never make it in the Big 12. Try Abilene Christian or Harding for the "wholesome" experience.

Is BRStang a Church of Christ member or you just happened to pick two of the most esteemed CofC schools?

i was walking around section 222 ( a good mix of Tech and SMU fans) and i stood on the seats to see with my buddies and all these jerk offs were yelling at us to sit down and how they paid for their seats.... and on top of that i saw several tech fans yelling at mustang fans on the way back yelling 'great game guys!' in that a--hole tone. tech and A&M fans have to be the most senseless, arrogant fans in the state! Win a national title, or better yet, the Big 12, then you can brag about how awesome your team is.

The Tech guys next to me in the second half were all right guys. On the other hand, the yahoo 14 year old in front of me yelling, "Run it up!" deserved to be strung up. Worst fans in Texas, by far.

It's not me, a**wipe, it's my kids that I was worried about. Do you have kids?
I didn't travel to some away game asking for abuse; I traveled to my HOME STADIUM and sat on the HOME SIDE with my kids and paid $200 to do it.

Totally agree with you. I have a 13 yr old & I'd be hopping mad, too. Quite frankly, security should do a better job.
Well said - BR.
I'm thinking about going to the UCF game (with my wife & 13 yr old) but if things like this continue to happen - as I hear about it on this board - I'll forgo the game & drive on to Texarkana. We're flying in from LA that wkend & I sure as h$%$ don't have to go to the game, either - but I'd like to.
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

The Tech fans were just mad that we didn't sell tortillas or have anyone play "March Grandioso" for them.

That's what they get for being too cheap to bring their own band.

If our own fans bought tickets to the game, our staff wouldn't be forced to sell them to Tech fans. Unfortunately, we can't drum up enough interest to sell 1/3 of the stadium on our own. I'm sorry about your bad experience, thats college football. I was expecting much worse from the Tech fans, there was only one fan that upset me, the guy yelling at our players as they were leaving the field
