Monday practice obversationsMy observations
QB's - We had 6 qb's practicing. Don't know all their names but logan turner looked to be by far the most accurate. They kept running a 10 and out to the sideline and Logan kept putting the ball dead center on the out of bounds line where no one but the receiver could catch it with one foot in bounds. saw this throw made about 15 times. Other qb's too high or out-of-bounds on that throw. All performed well throwing over the top or crossing pattern. I just saw a noticeable difference in the 10 and out throw. Receivers - I know its early but the recievers are dropping a lot of balls right in their hands. I'm sure JJ is going to work on this a lot. drills - Coach Gansz ran a tackling and trapping drill for about 30 minutes where two players ran down like on a punt or kickoff and they had to trap and tackle player. The players really seemed to respond to this and enjoy it. He did keep reassuring them that they would get this technique down where no one would ever get by them, like they so often did last year. defense - the defense ran different stunts and blitzs that wasn't broadcast to everyone on the field. You never really new where the blitz was coming from. Linebackers - Smart looked good at MLB, looked like he was moving real comfortable in this position. Odairi was also watching from sideline, nice strong looking kid. CB's - all that needs to be said here is that they were playing up on receivers. ( what a novel idea)
Logan's dad was my high school head coach back in rural East Texas (Lone Oak). I'm pulling for him to take advantage of JWill's stupidity.
Back off Warchild seriously.
Superman- thanks for the informative update. Did you get a chance to watch the D-Line? Were Sowe and Yenga still on the 1st D Unit? Anything standout about individuals on the D-Line?

No one yelling "All Out"? Just send 'da money.
No Cushion.
Man that chapped my [deleted] last year to GIVE 5 to 7 yards at a time for freaking FREE. Bump'em baby. then run like the wind. Thanks for the updates. CIRRO Energy can save you Money!! Summers coming. Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
Coach Jones asked me who it was yelling "NO CUSHION" in the stands last year. He could hear it from Hawaii. All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand

Good observations. I like the fact that we're stressing (as a team) the importance of special teams' techniques, making big plays out of turnovers and causing fumbles. Weather was perfect for spring ball. If you have not stopped by, c'mon. Easy parking in the Meadows Garage or at HPMC across Bishop. It's nice to see the windscreens down and the Mustangs getting down to bidness.

LOL
BUS- I felt your pain, man. I was at the freaking ECU game in NC and those guys ran the same wide receiver screen about 20 times for big positive yardage. Finally in the 4th quarter someone came up tight, but the damage was done at that point.
We were treated to a stripshow by Chris Butler and DeMyron Martin during one of the rather high-intensity drills on Monday, also in that drill, Adarius Medford injured his knee but it does not look too serious. Later during practice, Mickey Dollens also injured his shoulder, I do not know his condition as of right now but I'd guess that he probably has had an MRI for it by now.
I think I saw printed somewhere whe were running a 4-3. I could be wrong though Those who complain about a problem are simply wasting time they could use to fix it.
Potential is nothing, performance is everything.
