I have heard that our little shetland pony Peruna is out and your regular black horse will be the replacement. Apparently, this is something June wanted?
Is this a wild rumor or has anybody else heard the same thing?
Thanks in advance.

A wild Mustang is taking over
It tastes better when served from a Bowl (game)!

You never know but I will say one thing.
PLEASE do not run the pony after a touchdown.. When I was youing in the 60's the pony would pull those handlers and now the handler WALK or PULL the pony,. HOW FREAKING SAD it that.
As far as a real Mustang. Might not be bad. Maybe it could break away and cause some excitement.

You may still have to change. The source of this seemed pretty certain something different was coming.

Nope. All I can tell you is that you is that this person works for the university.

Or maybe this person doesn't work for the university.
Edit: In all candor, I just put this out there to see if somebody else heard this.
If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. But when I put something out there, it usually proves accurate. Just like the new beat writer from the DMN.

If your source was Scot Montague, the guy who was pushing the "Peruna Initiative" last fall, then it is likely wrong. I do know that as of April/May there was no push for this. If there really was such a switch coming, then it is unlikely to happen this fall, it would take more time than that to raise the money to care for an additional mascot.
I have never understood the desire to change what has been a positive tradition for the university for the past 80 years.
