Trip to Tech

Postby ProudMama » Mon Sep 08, 2008 10:15 am

Does anyone schedule a bus to away games? I'd love to go but Mr. H won't fly and the company that I hired to haul my car here got in an accident along the way so I'm without wheels.

I would take you but I'm not going. You're welcome to sit on my couch.

Mrs H-

Have you considered renting a car? You can get Fri-Sunday on hotwire.com for anywhere from ~$50 to $80-90

Sure have but I'm reluctant to make that long of a drive by myself. Thanks for the suggestion

between $146 and $163 according to their website. I think the latter is close to what I paid on AA.

All things considered I'd stay home. Takes too much time. Tarvel is too expensive. Have to stay overnight. It's in Lubbock.

I haven't believed in SMU football in many years. I have enjoyed our 20 year rebuidling process though. We'll get there one of these years. Probably the year after I die.

She's the mother of a player so I don't think she wants to stay home just because it takes too much time...

You guys are not being very helpful.

Mrs H---No bus trip has been scheduled for Tech. You are right to not want to make the drive to Lubbock alone---its in the middle of nowhere. Those of us who are going are most likely flying---I am on the 1:00 Southwest flight.

Ask Thad, he's always getting rides from somebody. Hey I'm trying. If we were playing Lubbock Christian I might go.

I broke down once on a trip back from a game. I believe the town was Muleshoe. I was not happy,

Muleshoe is not between Lubbock and Dallas. You go through OK to get back home?

Hmm, it seems a bit shorter
