The Hurricane has turned east, Lubbock is saved! Again

Postby lwjr » Thu Sep 11, 2008 9:41 am

Well, it looks like Lubbock will be spared from Hurricane Ike. It will just be windy as usual on Saturday.

Too bad. Poor weather tends to favor the less talented team, and like it or not, that's us.

Who is Joy? Does she control the hurricanes? I thought it was Bush, Obama, Tom Brady's cursed leg, or the King from Burger King.

We're getting ready in Lufkin but my biggest concern is how and where I'm going to watch the SMU/Tech game. Fox sports is running the Astros game on my cable which ticks me off.

Sounds like sand storm conditions. I was in one once in Lubbock. My blue car was completely brown. Those things are nasty. Maybe the sand will help us.
