Don't know if we sign another QB-but Jones' history suggests he doesn't mind having as many as 5-6 around. If Willis comes back-you got an emergency backup-if not SMU could look at two QBs they previously were after- California 3 star No. 34 Pro Style QB Matt Schlitz(who just recently decommitted from Kansas St after Snyder told him he planned to install a running offense) or 3 star No. 38 Pro Style QB Drew Hollinghead a Houston Commit. How about signing Hollinghead as a grayshirt-he'd still be around the program because of his father but then he would be in the Class behind Padron. Also could wait for a Top Transfer to pop up-and they always do. I think you need more than 3 QBs especially since you would like to redshirt Padron. Don't worry about hurt feelings of other QBs. The day you bring in highly recruited players 4 deep at positions will be a good day-look what happened to Memphis and Navy this year.

Are you Gamso , His dad or Friend. You keep saying that!!!
And to stallion. I want to get Colton Palmer. Being from kerrville i know his family and he is an awesome qb and has the size. JJ really liked him i heard. However I have also heard he doesnt really want to play college football.

that's the kid who is an unbelievable all-around athlete. Yeah you could go that way, use him as insurance then move him to another position. Oh you also have Chris Frazier as insurance.

Has SMU had any HP recruits who have stayed since Doak Walker or his grandson, Ryan Wolcott?

So we don't "gain" a spot with his departure.
