from what we've seen so far
1. OU/FL
2. Utah (i think they deserve to leap frog USC and TExas, undefeated, whooped alabama, and beat OSU who beat USC)
3. USC (I personally think they are the best team in the country and would beat OU, FL, Utah, or TX in a NC game, only one loss)
4. OU/FL (problem here is that whichever team losses the NC will finish with 2 losses, but could #1 drop all the way to #5?)
5. Texas (Texas would be furious, yes they win but style counts, i still have a problem with a 2 loss team being in front of them)
6. Alabama (lost to the only undefeated team in the country and possibly the national champions)
7. TCU (see alabama except change FL to OU, and they beat a top 10 in their bowl game)
8. Georgia (everyone else lost in front of them... thats it)
9. Texas Tech (only two losses, strong year, could have been in the big XII championship)
10. Penn State (if ball state wins i put them here instead)

I hope you are being sarcastic.
USC lost to a team that got beat by Utah the very next week.
Ranking USC ahead of an undefeated team that had a better record against common opponents?
(Of course, this would require that AP voters have properly functioning brains, so you may have a point.)

I watched that game and Utah beat Oregon State at the the last second at home. Utah never struggled against any team since Oregon State. FYI--Pac-10 is 5-0

I think my name should imply that I am not a Longhorns fan. However, I fail to see how winning the Fiesta Bowl is embarrassing.......but I could be wrong.

I'm with you. It's as if there is such a thing as a bad win.
UT will end up ahead of whoever loses the NC game for 2 reasons: 1) they will only have 1 loss, and 2) the pollsters think Ohio State is better than they really are, so UT won't get dinged for not beating them handily.
Personally, I say it ends up being:
1) OU or Florida (whoever wins)
2) USC
3) UT
4) Loser of NC game
5) Utah
#'s 4 & 5 could be switched, but I doubt it.

If OU loses to Florida, the 2-loss sooners will not finish higher than Texas. Just won't happen.
