Evan Huahula QuitsModerators: PonyPride, SmooPower Evan Huahula QuitsArmen is out of pocket but wanted me to pass along the following:
We can confirm that sophomore defensive tackle Evan Huahulu has left the program. The California native was listed at third on the depth chart and did not play during Saturday's home opener against SFA. In our opinion, Huahulu was not an individual that was looking to compete for depth time any time soon. He had an opportunity to take the backup spot over the fall and it did not happen. ^^^ Source from rivals.com
Re: Evan Huahula QuitsReally disappointing, if true. I wish he would reconsider.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Re: Evan Huahula Quitsbest of luck to Evan wherever he ends up.
Re: Evan Huahula QuitsSMU Football. All Grit. No Quit. Unless you aren't satisfied with your place on the depth chart - then a good amount of quit.
Re: Evan Huahula QuitsGiven the amout ProudMama posts on here I wouldn't think this is true, but I checked ponystampede for a second confirmation and they had confimation up yesterday. Sad.
You can never have too many people with big wild hair on your football team. "I think Couchem is right."

Re: Evan Huahula QuitsHe must have thought that his depth chart position was boxed in and it would be difficult if not impossible to move up. Sorry, he left, but best of luck to him where ever he lands.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: Evan Huahula QuitsWOW, He did play last Saturday on some Special teams.
His ability to get down to playing weight effected his speed and I think ( no real knowledge ) JJ wants fast linemen. I hope that he can get his education and be happy. Best to him and welcome back if he had a weak moument and wants to focus and come back. Peace be with you brother. Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
Re: Evan Huahula QuitsSad to read this. I enjoyed seeing him at the games. I enjoyed reading ProudMama's posts. Best wishes to you, Evan and to ProudMama.

Re: Evan Huahula QuitsIt’s all good! Evan dream, focus, and achieve something else. Proud mama will never stop being proud.
Re: Evan Huahula QuitsAll the best bud
Re: Evan Huahula QuitsBest of luck to him. Kind of worrisome though when we lose 2 players (Evan and Willis) just because they don't like their spot on the depth chart. He's only a sophomore. Kind of early in the season to jump ship. Too bad

Re: Evan Huahula QuitsIf I was counseling these kids, I would tell them that they already put in the work over the Spring and Summer and regardless of how much you play, you will still reap the rewards of your hard work by being with your teammates. What is three to four more months?
