They should let him start again too.

I was going to start a thread if someone hadn't. I thought that was about as good a game as a freshman Defensive Player has had at SMU in 25 years. Wow!. He set the tone-rattled Kinne but he also made some big plays downfield which saved big plays. He was outstanding but he had a lot of help today.

Davis was everywhere — on defense and special teams.

Speaking of freshmen, Margus Hunt had a pretty nice game, too.

Davis was great. You could see the athleticism in the fall practices, and knew his time would come. Best game for an outside linebacker at SMU in a hell of a long time. A true difference maker.

He had pretty early offers from Baylor and Louisiana Tech. Then we and Tulsa offered around the same time. Apparently A&M and Tech thought about offering him but never did. Only a 2 star from Rivals.
