Where are all the people who were complaining about JJ?

Postby SMU2007 » Sat Oct 31, 2009 10:40 pm

Being 4-4 with a bowl on the horizon suddenly makes JJ look like a G.D. genius. Funny how quickly winning changes people's perceptions...

I congratulate SMU on a good win today. I still reserve my judgment about JJ until I see who finishes the season at QB.

Your right, there has been a number of announcements on this site, "that Orsini doesn't know what he's doing", that June is an idiot, for getting a comittment from Kyle Padron, "he had no other offers" etc... I just love it!!! Oh, and another recent one, "Tulsa will win, regardless of who QBs SMU "Stallion"

I think the Defensive Coordinator might be a pretty good coach too.

June Jones was a miracle hire and anyone who thought otherwise is an absolute idiot. Of course we could take the suggestion of some special minds around here and go with Todd Dodge who has a win against the two worst teams in America this year.
Back off Warchild seriously.

I was complaining about JJ...I liked the hire but I was very critical of his choice of QB, it seemed to me that he was going to have Bo be the starter, come hell or high water, there was never even any competition....He benches Willis and we go 1-11 with Bo and Bo don't seem much better this year....I am just glad that June found a way to switch QBs and save face since his giant ego would never let him admit he backed the wrong QB....

Like someone else said, lets see what he does at the QB position here...if he goes back to Bo, then in my mind he is showing he would rather protect his ego than win games.

The wanting big horses was also a clusterf@@k that he had his hand in....

Winning with Padron at QB only justifies my complaints about him..

Hilarious. So if winning with Padron justifies your complaints, you are saying losing with Padron would have undermined your complaints about him?

I am not a fan of the run and shoot either but my hat is off to JJ becuse of the big improvement in our defense and becuse he can identify and recruit some good players. From what I have heard the whole team and especially the defense is playing tough, physical football for 60 minutes.

Never criticized JJ but I still think Orsini needs to go back and take some marketing classes (horse fiasco) and choose a new basketball coach

What I am saying is that my complaints about JJ have been centered around his ego and sticking with Bo, June wanted to show us his "QB Guru" mojo and was going to prove that he could make anyone a great QB and wanted to reward lil Bo for following him from Hawaii to SMU..even though BO had no business starting, especially with Willis here. I see nothing that makes my critisim and complaints no longer valid.

I guess those who said that Bo wasn't starter material were idiots too, eh?
