Came across this interesting story ranking SMU commit Conner Preston as the 16th best player in California...this seems to be a great pull for Coach Jones...turning down Florida for SMU!

We don't know the specific reasons that the two players were denied admission, nor will we (per privacy laws). Without knowing specifics, it's misguided — not to mention counterproductive to players and recruits and their families who read this — to sit here and predict doom.

Sure, his offers are not top notch right now, but he has interest from a lot of great programs and will more than likely be receiving more offers before it's over.

Part of his gaudy stats are due to the fact that he is surrounded by blue-chip stars, but the guy led his team to an undefeated season ans state championship in the best football state besides Texas.

I'm definitely excited about Preston's commitment.
