He said he was oblivious to the cheating during recruiting and at least when he first got there. (My observation-I think that is very possible because he was a legacy and a kid from a rich neighborhood like HP. Yet others don't seem to get the benefit of that doubt.) He said the first he knew about it was when some [deleted] at a local bar told him to reach under the table and there was some cash.

Switch to Bobby Collins staff wasn't bad (as Pony Excess suggests) just different. Ron Meyer and Bobby Collins were Nite and Day

a couple of hundred dollars here and there he felt wasn't a big deal. He was interviewed by NCAA but didn't have much to tell them.

he basically repeated June Jones in my quote below about June Jones' predecessors-said they never had the talent for a winning program

After the DP-everybody (his teammates) went their own way-checked out. A bunch thought they might as well shut the program down(than to be uncompetitive). Now Eric is a Mustang again and his teammates are coming back. Said Eric has been to about 3 tail-gates and is a big June Jones fan.

He can't wait to kick TCU's [deleted] again-he is so tired of them.

Ha! couldn't identify Rich Phillips(but for a good reason) he's at the football game every week. That's a wrap.

That was by far the best interview and representation of our program in the History of the Ticket. Good example of how important it is to retain contacts with that era. Corby and Ryhner did a very good job-it was excellent. Did anybody know that Rhyner claims to have been such a huge SMU fan during that era.
