and this information is from your secret official Frog source? Here is a quote from your very own Frog Paper... http://www.tcudailyskiff.com/football-p ... -1.2430153Looking back on the college football season through the eyes of a TCU fan, I'm blown away by the power of character and integrity in the game. The way the players, teams and institutions carry themselves factors strongly into both public perception and results on the field. Those that point fingers, display cockiness and break rules eventually get what's coming their way.
We saw the media scrutinize controversial Heisman Trophy winner and Auburn quarterback Cam Newton for weeks and weeks. Assuming money changed hands for Newton to attend Auburn, it's too bad "Pony Excess" didn't come out earlier to teach administrators and boosters a lesson. Not surprisingly, the NCAA showed its inability to be conclusive or satisfy the public in investigating the issue.
We saw Ohio State head football coach Jim Tressel lose five players from his Buckeyes for next season's first five games for violating NCAA rules. We then saw remarkable hypocrisy in the NCAA's ruling, which allowed those players to compete in the Sugar Bowl.
The nation saw an Oregon team fight off its mistakes from last season to make it to the BCS National Championship after losing to Boise State last year. That game was complete with Oregon's LeGarrette Blount maliciously punching a Boise player in the face after the game, showing Blount's true character.

I bet you'd claim a National Championship if they were put on probation. It will be interesting to see the Final Polls to see who finished second

I'll concur. There's still a question there - and now that the vultures have something to rip out of Auburn's hands as tainted evidence, they will continue to circle and look for that opportunity.

TCU #2 but doesn't really matter. If penalties come down against Auburn, they'd have to forfeit their wins. That would include, of course, forfeiting the national championship game, making Oregon the winner.

if Auburn vacates it, there will just be no champion. That's how it was described when some asked if OU would be named champion for the year it got clobbered by USC as a result of Reggiegate

The BSC is not beholding to NCAA rules or restrictions. Since the game has been played and the NCAA cleared Cam Newton because the dog ate his homework, one can see the BSC letting UA hold its National title.
Had the NCAA negated UA wins prior to the BSC title game, then a very real possibility would have been TCU vs. Oregon. And we do not know for sure the results of that contest.
I fear UA getting caught. IF so, then some whippersnapper upstart will be punished. And we are that upstart whippersnapper that could clearly be in the NCAA’s bulls eye (can one still say that?).

You can say bulls eye, but not bull [deleted].
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Oh, of course they would. We'd be the easiest target - bullies always go after the weakest ones in the room.
