"the best player on the football field"Other than the last play of the game, Mitchell was by far the best player on the football field the entire game. He set career highs with 39 completions and and 473 passing yards. He ended the game with three touchdowns, two interceptions and compiled a quarterback rating of 124.5.
Until the last play of the game, Mitchell highlighted a noticeably weak Husky secondary. Eastern's spread offense simply could not be stopped the entire game. The Eagles only managed 31 yards rushing the entire game. The Huskies wouldn't have won the game without their kicker, Erik Folk. Folk converted was three for three, converting from 40, 47 and 54 yards. http://seattle.sbnation.com/washington- ... i-mitchell
Re: "the best player on the football field"yet the game ends when Bo Levi throws an interception on a fade route in the endzone. Sound familiar?
Re: "the best player on the football field"
quitter. Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally
Re: "the best player on the football field"Funny, he lost to a Wash team on a last minute INT in the endzone trying to win it, on two diff teams.
Bo Levi and his EaglesWent to the UW - EWU game yesterday and saw the Gunslinger and his FCS champion Eagles. The Huskies got their money's worth in their first ever game against a non-FBS team, but fortunatelyl won 30-27. I'm sure that EWU can beat a lot of lower FBS schools. Mitchell put up 478 yards in the air (they couldn't run the ball). He was dead on for the 5-10 yard passes, which was why they were able to move the ball so much. Good thing for the Huskies, he was wildly inaccurate on any pass greater than 20 yards, many of which he deposited well beyond the sidelines.
It's a crappy job but someone's gotta do it.
Re: Bo Levi and his Eagleswould have been great to see him come way with the W. best of luck to him rest of the season.
Derail the Frogs!
Re: Bo Levi and his EaglesAre you kidding? Bo Levi was spectacular. Like a surgeon dissecting the Huskies. Let them within a fg of a tie game and overtime in the waning seconds from the 30 but went for the win and had his good 6'5' receiver outhustled for the ball in the end zone by a much-smaller db who had been torched for most of the game. Heismann-like performance.
Re: Bo Levi and his EaglesI'm just hoping all the JJ recruited quarterbacks are Heisman-like performers.
Re: Bo Levi and his Eagles
He was fantastic, but don't over-dramaticize. ![]() It's a crappy job but someone's gotta do it.
Re: Bo Levi and his EaglesPadron >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> BM. end o' story.
Re: Bo Levi and his Eagles
More like a Walter Payton Award-like performance, he'll probably end up being a finalist for that honor. They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security
