Anytime this programs has an opportunity to seize some momentum, it seems to take 6 steps back. Really is deflating, and I wonder if we really belong at a top tier conference.

I thought the team would be more competitive too. Might be pretty good in CUSA but it is very clear that SMU does not belong with the bigs. Sucks but the evidence is very obvious. Still think SMU can have a very good season, just can't play with quality BCS conference schools. I hate this. Well, time to hear from the Ag co-workers tomorrow.

Honestly, Aggy might be a legit contender this year. We gave them two touchdowns because Kyle was overwhelmed. We competed - it just comes back to turnovers.

I do question not putting Kyle back in. He needs the experience and we need to see how he would respond after being sat for a drive or 2.

Everyone needs to stop freaking out. It was a tough game regardless and those TO's doomed us, but we have 3 very easy games on schedule and can be 3-1 and in good shape. KP needs to get this offense in gear. The run game looked good and we have a legit chance to compete on C-USA. An upset over Tulsa, Houston or UCF would be huge. Long season, lots can happen between now and then.

There are no easy games for that team. You don't know football if you think this SMU team has easy games coming up. HP could give us a good game.

Houston game too, they'll likely be undefeated and ranked when we play them.

I always thought it would take more like 10 years to get a strong program going. This is year 4.

And on a side note:
I like Leach's Air Raid better though. And I wish we will someday build a really tough and punishing SEC like defense to beat up offenses. If it's going to happen it's going to take longer.
