I said something like this in another thread but, I wanted to give this it's own thread. This is the best thing that could happen for KP. We didn't have the option of shutting him down last year. JJ wasn't ready. He's ready now, but, seriously, if you have followed KP or seen him in practice as much as I have --

He's got "a mobile Peyton Manning" written all over him.

Problem is from frosh to soph year, well, he started thinking too much. And he thought he had to be the guy from the Hawaii Bowl. Thing is he never gave himself a chance to think frosh year, he just threw or dumped it off to (then) Shawnbrey.

Kyle will come ROARING back... that's just my gut feeling. Might be wrong. But I just have this weird knowledge that we WILL be seeing Kyle at the Heisman ceremony in NYC next year. Already got the perfect pic for SMU's ad campaign:

Give me a glass of that Thad. You're a great filmmaker but that is not happening. Kyle will likely never start another game as SMU QB. Once JJ goes sour on a QB he seems to never look back. Think back to the Tulane game last seaSon when McD came in.

I do think there is a chance that he doesn't start another game this season. I can see that happening with JJ (June Jones), but in one honest moment June told me that Kyle has all of the tools to be a Heisman guy. I don't think he will give up on that thought.

Seriously, you see KP in practice it's like "oh my god, wow", and he's done it in games. And he did it the Hawaii Bowl, he can do it again. And in my estimation he will. We just didn't have the option to bench him last season.

Dude just needs to take some anit-anxiety medicine/two shots of "Padron" before every game and he'll be fine. Awesome, in fact.

so in a week or 2 Kyle goes from starter to "Kyle will never start another game for SMU"
that may be every bit as "out there" as "Kyle will win the Heisman"
if "Colt" Brennan didn't win the Heisman, how's Kyle gonna do it?
Kyle may not be "the guy" but he's got lotz of time left @ SMU..he'll see more starts.
