Fans at tonight's game (09/17)...A letter from JJ in order? There was a long thread about why the fans don't go crazy at the games. Lots of feedback. I don't care as long there are butts in seats. I think the noise and fan support would follow the butts in the seats.
Tonight...it was Little NW State...but where are the season ticket holders? I sit on the 50, and there were empty seats all around. And of course, we also had thirty-minute fans who would show up late and then leave. We always have groups stream in and out the seats. There can be as many as four different "groups" occupy the same seats in one game. I would like to see a short and sweet note from JJ asking season ticket owners to (1.) Show up and show up on time, or (2.) donate the tickets to someone who will actually use them. Too many season ticket holders are sitting on their tickets and not going to the games. I have a lot of people who would love to be at the games. If there were ever a reason we couldn't attend (rarely), we have no problem finding people who would jump at going. I know this has been said before... Last edited by wewiii on Sat Sep 17, 2011 11:33 pm, edited 2 times in total.

What is "Stangs '42"? Surely, someone who graduated in '42 isn't as computer savvy as you.
Re: Fans at tonight's game (09/17)...A letter from JJ in ordsomeone who graduated in '42 is dead.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

Re: Fans at tonight's game (09/17)...A letter from JJ in ordI always thought 42 was Ronnie Lott in three man.
Re: Fans at tonight's game (09/17)...A letter from JJ in ordI sit on the 40 toward the north end and we see the same thing. We do have a small group of true fans who cheer, yell, and get a little rowdy, then everything else is like a revolving door around us. We usually make fun of the people in front of us for wearing khakis with little ponys all over them, an SMU version of the Polo pants that are just as God-awful. It's a football game folks, if you want a fashion show, go to a Stars game.
Re: Fans at tonight's game (09/17)...A letter from JJ in ordThis is going to happen with a bad opponent - is this your first game??
Would be nice to have a ticket exchange or something b/c all they have to do is pay $2.50 to email them to anyone they want - but certainly no surprise. They will be there for UCF and Navy. Last edited by GiddyUp on Sun Sep 18, 2011 12:15 am, edited 1 time in total.

it happens a lot in my section, regardless of opponent, and we are just one section over from the 50. And I've been in those seats for nearly 10 years now.
Re: Fans at tonight's game (09/17)...A letter from JJ in ord
I've been going to the games since the mid '70's.
Re: Fans at tonight's game (09/17)...A letter from JJ in ordfair enough - let's just say our a lot of our fans with good seats s uck
I am guessing that there are probably quite a few alumni that have season tickets that live out of town and come to 1 or 2 games a year.
