Attendance prediction

Postby Charleston Pony » Sat Sep 07, 2013 10:48 am

I'm hoping for a result similar to what we had last year against SFA and the year before that against Northwestern State. We won both those games big and announced crowds were 20,000. I was at that Northwestern State game and remember being excited out on the Blvd thinking it looked like a 25k crowd...forgot many just come to party on the Blvd with no intention of going into the game.

I'm going to predict a similar result in both attendance and game result. I expect 20k announced, more like 25k on the Blvd and more like 15k butts in seats to watch an easy SMU win

I'm out of town, but I sold my three on stubhub. So I'm assuming they'll get used.

It will be small. Bring your friends!

I just lined up 2 neighbors to come with me. Since I'm driving, I can promise they'll be there from the first play to the last.

No matter the score, close game, blow out, we're ahead, or behind so many leave

in droves after the 3rd Qtr.

yea I'm not sure exactly why that is...

People are too cool to devote 3 hours to a sporting event? When I was in school, even if I could get people to come to the game, they would never stay in the 2nd half.

I expect pretty small crowd,Montana St I would guess wouldn't bring as many as SFA, and it's gonna be hot one..
With that said, me plus 1-2 the rest of year for football and basketball, bought season tickets for first time ever...my 10 year old son who lives with mom in Lubbock loves SMU and so does my 15 year old nephew here in Plano.
Both want to go to SMU!!!

Watching OSU VS UTSA

Postby Waldorf » Sat Sep 07, 2013 2:02 pm

There are more than 50,000 at the OSU v UTSA game. It must be nice to play in a town that does not have a pro team.

Very cool. Glad your son didn't go over to the TX Tech dark side. There is something in the water out there.

College Football fans should go on strike and boycott the 40 crap games today. What we need is for the TV networks to pay based on the matchup so nobody schedules these games.
