...just sayin' If Tulsa can afford it, we should be able to as well. Photos: Tulsa Golden Hurricane break out chrome helmets vs. Iowa State - While Virginia Tech was busy sporting their wild new “Hokie Stone†helmets on ESPN, Tulsa was making UniBlog waves over on Fox Sports 1. The Golden Hurricane unveiled its new chrome helmets for Thursday night’s out-of-conference game against Iowa State. Mostly light gold, the reflective chrome is set off nicely by blue script “Tulsa†on both sides and then blue and red striping down the middle. http://gamedayr.com/gamedayr/photo-chrome-tulsa-helmets/

Just imaging how great a chrome helmet with a mustang on it would look with our black jerseys.

Someone had posted an SMU chrome helmet on another thread and it was sharp.

SID is fine with it. He just asked that you send a check.

Don't we send a check when we pay for the tickets and pay to be in the Mustang Club? Doesn't that money go to the athletic dept. I would think that and with the new AAC money that we would have more than Tulsa.

Just saying SID is not opposed. I doubt that this is his call on whether or not to do.

Our AD spent our helmet money on a marketing ad in the daily crampus.

One does realize that the Athletic department has to be careful about this. The second SMU comes out in chrome helmets, Jones will be blame for not honoring tradition (remember the big horsey little horsey hoopla) and the emails demanding Jones be fire will probably shut down the SMU servers.
Talk about Panic!!!!

This sticker is dangerous and inconvenient, but I do love Fig Newtons.
