I'm a Razorback but keep up with SMU because I have a child that's a student there. I think you should be very excited about the Chad Morris hire. Seems like a perfect match right now. I think SMU needs a young coach with a distinctive offensive identity, plus strong Texas ties. Morris has it all.
Congrats on the hire, and I look forward to watching the Ponies play on family weekends.

Yes - and get your daughter to go more than just family weekend and homecoming (though she probably does already) and get her friends to go to all the games as well. The Chad says it will take everyone, but most importantly we need the students to buy in. Thanks for posting. Good luck in hoops - hope to catch y'all in a rematch.

She went to every game this year except Houston, but she never saw a 2nd half. I think that's been the case for the student section as a whole, but hopefully that's going to change. I went to the SMU-Arkansas basketball game. LOVE Moody.

Yes she wasn't the only one. It was hard to sit through some of those second halves. Even us die hards hard a hard time not leaving. I am pretty confident the students will catch on and connect with HCCM and the student section will get bigger and stay to the end. When they have something to watch, they come through - see hoops. Hopefully we will catch you on the BLVD. Don't be a stranger.

I remember the student retention got a whole lot better when the team started winning more games than losing. More people stayed and especially more people lasted the entire game. compared to now or even 07

We left at halftime of the Homecoming game with us leading 13-0. Didn't really want to considering how well the team was playing, but the weather plus the impending doom of collapse was too much to overcome. Turned out to be the best decision I've made all year since I really didn't want to have to watch us lose on the last play of the game.
This way, close to half of my memories of the 2014 season (since I was only able to make it to 2 games) can be of us actually playing well!

Yeah I don't think that's the Culture Change Chad Morris has in mind with "Lock Arms" but cool story Bro

I have a Hog Daughter and she don'ts go to many Hog games. She did attend a Hog MBB, at Moody this year. I don't think kids in general have the same enthusiasm for school football that they once did.

Best decision was leaving to avoid seeing us lose. Wow.

Does she like going to school there?
