Clemson offense

Postby gostangs » Thu Dec 31, 2015 7:22 pm

Anyone else looking at the Clemson offense and getting excited about what we can see soon with a bit more talent?

Obviously Watson is a big part of their success, but seeing this real offense hit on all cylinders is pretty exciting as far as what we will likely see soon at Ford.

And 2 of their starting WRs are hurt/suspended. Chad did that-that's his offense and those are his kids

getting the right QB is the key to our ever seeing the "Clemson offense", because we have some skill guys here already and more on the way. Moore has been described as a "poor man's Watson". Let's hope so, because that would play well in the AAC

Jason Shelley or Charlie Brewer.

Gonna have to wait a few years but I think those are the kids who can get us where we want to go.
Back off Warchild seriously.

While the QB is important, the biggest difference between Clemson's offense and ours is that they have a D-1 O-Line while we have a Class 3A O-Line

Exactly. While some of us expected a high scoring passing offense, the Morris system is based upon smash mouth football anchored by good OL play.

If a great QB comes our way, that would be nice. But, we need road graders.

we got 5 great OLine prospects coming in

I think David Moore is going to start in 2017-he fits this offense very well-he is a poor man's DaShawn Watson

as far as 2015 is concerned, we got way more than expected on that side of the ball this year considering we were making a radical change in the offense with a bunch of returning players who didn't really fit the offense. If Morris hadn't found two good young RB prospects at the last minute, we would have been stuck with Prescott Line plus we had the emergence of Courtland Sutton. There's going to be a strong infusion of new talent in 2016 too. I expect SMU to average between 475-500 yards per game in 2016 and then watch out in 2017, The Offensive rebuild will be substantially in place by 2017-hopefully the Defense is rebuilt by 2018 season

Put that type of a team in Ford and it will be a sell out for every game. Gotta win consistently though and then gotta beat a TCU or Baylor often. #moodymagic
