SnapchatI know it has been mentioned in threads, but...
If you are old like me and you haven't installed snapchat, it is worth installing and following smu football just to get all the practice videos. DL size looks legit. Minor looks a lot more solid than he has in the past... let's see if he can stay healthy and contribute.
Re: SnapchatHelp:
I installed Snapchat and added SMU_football as a "friend". The videos aren't loading. Can someone with Snapchat techno knowledge please offer advice? How do I get the videos?
Re: Snapchatsmu_football loaded fine. Not getting any videos.
Re: Snapchat
Both lines looking stronger than last year and skill positions are looking really atheltic..going to be crazy with these backs and receivers rinning all over the field. E e. Sutton had a nice pick off a tip the other day.
Re: Snapchat
You will like chat roulette
Re: Snapchat

Re: SnapchatAnd if you don't want to have to deal with how to use snapchat, etc, just go to ponyuptempo.com and click on "Social". It's all there . . .
Re: Snapchat
Thanks ojapony!
Re: SnapchatI'm getting excited about Patrick Jones and Alphonso Thomas. I understand that expectations need to be tampered with freshmen and all, but those guys are rock solid in positions we really need depth in (Jones and Thomas will make a great 1-2 punch, fresh legs, and Patrick Jones was not one I expected to contribute right away and he might very well be able to, so BONUS! . . .
DL 1s: Michael Scott, Zelt, Gentry, Green, Lawler DL2s: Horton?, McLaurin/Jones?, Biggurs, JT Williams, Delontae Scott or Pruitt? That's a solid 2 deep on the DL that we have not had post-DP from what I can remember (we've had some good starters but not that quality depth). Give me some damn backend depth (LBs, CBs, safeties and we might have something to go with all that offense). This year: 4-5 wins (not sure who that 4th and 5th win will come from, maybe we can beat Tulsa and perhaps ECU. Too bad we don't get one or both at home). 5+ wins will be exciting with no huge blowouts (TCU will be a damn good squad) and I'll be happyish.
Re: SnapchatAnd my OL predictions:
1s: Pursley, Saena, Brown, Hyder, Briggs? 2s: Wilds, Todora, Barton, Smith, ? Not sure who will hold down that left tackle starting spot as everything I read is that they want Briggs inside (too slow for outside) and it would be ideal to redshirt Smith, Todora and Barton (most likely not going to happen because we need them, and Wilds is not developing as they wanted/expected). And I'm assuming we redshirt Braxton Webb regardless. We need another tackle to step up (next year we bring in solid recruits in the OL that will fill in the remaining flip).
Re: SnapchatYou mean RT for Briggs. Hyder at LG, but I've heard he is getting pushed. Saena is at RG and heard he looks great (super surprise). If either tackle gets hurt we are in trouble. Wilds might not be ready yet.
On the DL, it will be disappointing if the Scotts don't start on one end. They haven't earned a starting spot yet. We finally have adequate size on the DL, but usually frosh on both sides of the line don't have the "right" weight and need a full year in the weight room. I'd assume the same this year - if we get them as depth in the two deep it is a bonus. Both sides of the line should still be much improved, though. Everything I have heard or seen indicates Davis has locked down the starting QB spot.
