I have no problem as long as they do not do the white pants again. Kind of defeats the purpose of a black uniform.

They are. White is not a school color either, but we have a uniform that's that color, too.
Black, white and gray are all base colors. No one says they're school colors. They are simply blank bases upon which you use your school colors.
