Happened just below our seats, Sonny had to be restrained by assistants on three occasions, this was far from a mild disagreement. I have never seen an SMU coach in many years so angry. His screaming continued through several more plays.

My opinion only after watching the replay, the play (interception by TCU) should have been reversed, TCU penalized for a personal foul, face mask, and unsportsmanlike behavior, throwing the helmet,SMU possession and the TCU player dismissed from the game. It was potentially a 14 point play. TCU scored on that possession and we were stopped on the way to a touchdown.

In all honesty I didn't see anything but the helmet toss, never saw it being pulled from the SMU player, just saw the helmet come flying out. I think almost all of us were watching the interception, no wonder the refs didn't see it. Check out the replay what do you all think? But, no question Sonny was bigtime pi##ed--and that didn't make the replay!

Exactly, it was ripped off our players head! It wasn’t just laying on the ground and a TCU player tossed down the field. A TCU fan said it was their pre-season All American did it, but whose that. Obviously our line was playing much better than we anticipated and TCU was frustrated.

Great question. They said on fs1 they couldnt tell, but shouldnt be that hard to figure out.
