Glad Sanders made it into the endzone because if he doesn't it would have been al ong halftime for the Ponies!

They could have spiked it and kicked a field goal.

He didn't really say anything of note. Brief recap.
1. Pleased with the level of interest in the job around the country.
2. Feels end of the regular season is an important time b/c coaching jobs are opening up around the nation.
3. Not going to rush the hire.
Same song different verse.
Back off Warchild seriously.

The clock would have run out. The MEMPHIS timekeeper would have ensured that there was no time left on the clock even with the automatic stop of the clock on a first down. Swanny noted the timekeeper's lax performance earlier in the drive.

clock stops after first down...this aint the NFL...
7 seconds, then a spike...3 seconds to kick a FG...it doesnt matter tho, we got 7

Obviously JT, you are a product of DISD since you don't read very well. Why don't you re-read the paragraph and look at the newly bolded sections to help you out with my response!

They would have spiked it and kicked a field goal. Even the bad CUSA officials can see the big giant numbers on the clock after the play is over. If the clock operator had let it run the officials would have put time back on. If not, I guess we would have lost out on a bowl game.
