Truth. Staff thought he was ok. The series in question, EW was in the sideline huddle so WJ was sent out. Then the fireworks. The doc has admitted he failed to inform the coaches. I didn't think ho-hum. Not as hard hitting as 2009 in The Fort but pretty intense. Then again, GP treats every frickin game like we have something to prove. I love it.
you don't think ho-hum? But that's what GP said ?

Let's see. Your buddy Alex says he heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend. This sounds like an REO Speedwagon song. I was there at the game and afterward. The doc was a petulant brat and GP was a complete [deleted]. Try to get both sides before you draw your conclusions. Or not. I don't give a crapty. This was not about EW going back in with a concussion.

I think he said that about our guys not matching your intensity. He mentioned repeatedly after the game how hard SMU plays and hits in our game every year. I agree.it is getting fun. BTW, I was a guest at a tailgate that had the Hamburger Man on the BLVD. Good times.

Yep. They are apparently willing to blatantly lie: froglicious wrote: GP never questioned the injure.

Not sure the purpose of this post. He wasnt told of the injury until EW didnt take the field. When GP was told EW had his helmet taken away due to concussion symptoms he went on his tirade why it took soooooo long for the doc to notify the staff. Your buddy Alex's story is a fart and falldown. LOL. A friend of a friend told me... a friend of a friend told me... a friend of a friend said she was foolin around...

What do you not understand? You said "GP never questioned the injure" which is a blatant lie, as GP apparently said that he didn't think that Wesley had a concussion and what right does the doctor have to hold him out. Dr. Haraldson told amednews.com that he "was verbally accosted by the coach, screaming at me insanely at the top of his lungs that he doesn't think [Wesley] has a concussion and what right do I have to hold him out."

Froggy,
You are becoming very tiresome. Repeating the TCU/GP cover story over and over and over does not make it true. Soccermom and others can defend themselves, but your incivility is as borish as your defense of your portly coach. I suggest you move on before you embarrass yourself any further.

The main point is you are relying on the statements of a Doc who was humiliated on the sideline. What we saw and heard dont quite match up with his statements. That is why the doc has backed up. He is a successfull physician and the TCU gig isnt that big. I dont think he would be crawfishing if he didnt know he over stepped. Most of you are focused on only one side of the story. Shocker (not the good kind), you automatically support the one sided diatribe making GP out as a monster.

I'm more inclined to believe the doctor who is speaking out against his employer (and at risk of being terminated) than I am some sort of press release that they made the doctor issue later (probably as a condition of keeping his job). Especially when GP came out and said "As far as I am concerned, he was fine 10 minutes after he came out." You, on the other hand, have bought into the propaganda TCU is trying to spread. Hats off to them, they are simply doing what has to be done to control the damage. However, educated people who don't have a dog in the fight can clearly see what is going on.

I made fun of Soccer mom and appologized. You guys are the boorish ones with the constant statements about GP's weight and such. If you would actually read my posts you could have some insight. I posted this stuff yesterday before GP responded. I was there. Close. You?

You guys are simply on a witch hunt. How do you clearly see what is going on when you only see one side? my guess is your esteemed Law School would argue against you.
At the end of the day, this board's one sided opinion doesnt matter. I have enjoyed the banter. GP is a fine man and cares for his "kids". Check our grad rate. If he is the monster you claim he is wouldnt we have a little more attrition? just asking.
The doc got emotional and is now admitting it.
Ciao. Good luck against UH!

The doc told the truth and is now having to put out press releases to keep his job. Even in the medical profession, job security these days is essential. Goodbye, and good luck.
