You knew it was coming: 'black out' for AFBModerators: PonyPride, SmooPower Re: You knew it was coming: 'black out' for AFBI've got my new "SMU blue" sweat pants and top that Santa brought! Man I love those blue jerseys!
Re: You knew it was coming: 'black out' for AFBWell, I will be wearing black. For Christmas, wife bought me the adidas button down black shirt June wears on the sideline. I have been looking for that shirt for over two years. Apparently, she found one.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Re: You knew it was coming: 'black out' for AFB
Where did she find it? GO MUSTANGS!
Re: You knew it was coming: 'black out' for AFBThey had a million of those ugly black things in the SMU book store. They are all the rage in Lubbock.
Ready to play the game and quit seeing threads about this. And we wouldn't have to b&tch so much if they wouldnt do so many stupid things.
Re: You knew it was coming: 'black out' for AFBJust looked real close at my new Black warm ups...
They ain't black, their real dark brown jezzzz! Well won't be the first time I've ever had a brown out. ![]()
Re: You knew it was coming: 'black out' for AFBMy fear is that JJ will then spring out black uniforms at other times just like he did at Hawaii. Sort of like Gluestick and Gelato were not going to be our mascots. And black is not and has never been a color for SMU. I don't mind wearing black to honor our troops. They are at war and these guys that we're playing are the same guys who when they graduate will get posted in Afghanistan and Iraq to cut their teeth as Second Lieutenants and some might not return alive or in one piece. As one who has made visits out to Walter Reed and saw the guys missing limbs, missing parts of faces, etc., I have no problem with the sentiment. And for Navy next year, their colors are Navy blue not black. And its not the Armed Forces Bowl when we play Navy. As long as we dont' start wearing black at other times, I have no problem with this.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: You knew it was coming: 'black out' for AFB
You sneak it in one time with a trumped up noble cause and then once you've done it the next time and the next time and the next time are real easy. The precedent has been set. Hell, look at those awful unis TCU is wearing for the Rose Bowl. Those were supposed to be a one time deal too I think. SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Re: You knew it was coming: 'black out' for AFBwell, my wife made me go through and cull my hats that spill out of our coat closet, and i found a camo SMU hat that i will be wearing to support our troops.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally
Re: You knew it was coming: 'black out' for AFBHere's a suggested uniform "look" for many of you; however I can't tell what color the jersey is:

Re: You knew it was coming: 'black out' for AFBAnd for you in love with the black jersey idea, just google Vanilla Ice circa 1990 - real cool and hip stuff we got going here.
Re: You knew it was coming: 'black out' for AFBi'll be wearing my brand new red afb shirt that i got for christmas.
i won't be pandering to some misguided sense of patriotism. why doesn't army wear red? this is our stadium. they should support us.
