I don't think they deserve to be in the top 4 because of their loss to Virginia Tech, but I was beyond impressed with Ohio State tonight.
Loss of a player, losing your quarterback and down to #3 on the depth charts. Big big win for them.

winning a game like that against a pretty good Wisconsin team with your 3rd string QB tells you that Ohio State has a really good team; not to mention a brand name that will propel them past TCU & Baylor in the final rankings

The pundits say the committee wants the best 4 teams NOW. Based on what I saw yesterday, out of the 3 contenders for the 4th spot, you would have to rank them OSU, Baylor, TCU. Early bad loss with extenuating circumstances should not be held against OSU. And Baylor ranks over TCU based on head to head. I find it amazing there is even an argument.

tOSU played well but not deserving if strength of schedule counts.
tOSU has considerably more power and influence than TCU/Baylor based on numbers of alumnni and "fans" alone.
Shades of 1982 SMU and the PSU debacle (most on this board do not remember that)
