Honestly... I think it gets squeezed in where the natatorium was. I did the sizing a little bit ago. the diving pool will also need to go, but it would fit. I dont think they get rid of the track because thats near impossible to fit anywhere else. I dont think SMU wants Pettus gone because it is nicer to have a green field at the enterance instead of a large block facility.

Morris and Hart have both said publicly it's going at Wescott. There's no debating this

IIRC this idea has been floating around for a year or two after the current tennis complex location was nixed by the previous coach, so I wouldn't be surprised if the administration decided to just go ahead with it.

New soccer stadium either on Pettus or new development on East Campus

I was told 2 years ago that SMU wants to put the IPF on current Wescott site and would like to build any Olympic sports area on east side of central, so soccer and swimming/diving would end up there is the funding is available. Pony up!

never went to a soccer game, but I don't really care for dividing up the campus. Plus I enjoy running on the track during the summer. Also it makes no sense for them to be looking into refinishing the track if they are going to get rid of it.

Is that an NCAA regulation track anyway?-something from the past when my twin brother ran track reminds me that SMU could never have big meets there because its not regulation.
