SMU captains for 1976 from the SMU vs. TCU program in an above post. The other guy, I believe, is Ponyte from the same page.

This is an early 50s Pony. Bill Fox (52). Fox was a center/linebacker. He also made a few All SWC teams at center. And he did it weighting 185 lbs. Of note, Fox became an orthopaedic doctor. Once again, not bad for a big dumb football player.

Notice in the background 2 soon to be gone structures. On the left is Letterman Hall (the old athletic dorm) and the SAE house is on the right.

SMU Arkansas game in 1986. I remember that the pass was complete, but we didn't score on the play.

On the last play of the game, Mike Romo runs up to the line of scrimmage
drawing defenders away from Michael Bowen, and lofts a short pass.

Bowen looks it in, and knows he has it.

This is from the SMU Texas game in 1980. SMU won that day beating the then #2 ranked Horns by 20-6.

And as an aside, big men with experience count. The 1980 team was a break through year. A winning season, bowl game and top 20 finish. In this picture is a well-seasoned SMU line. Starting from top to bottom is TE Clement Fox, 5th year senior. At left tackle is Mike Jusko, a 5th year senior (and a fine artist). At left guard is Robert Barnes, 5th year Senior. At center is Lance Pederson, (last I heard you can look him up a Mojo’s restaurant in Houston) a 4th year Senior. At the right guard is Perry Hartnett, a junior. Often Hartnett rotated with 5th year senior Mike Mason. At right tackle is Lee Spivey, a 4th year senior and at the second TE spot (on the right) is Lott McIlhenny. At QB in his first start is true Freshman Lance McIlhenny.

And on the Texas side of the line is a bunch of losers I could not care less about. But that is just me.
