Unless of course TAMU fires Sumlin after LSU, and even then, I suppose he has a chance. But much better chance if he were to take SMU to new heights next season.
He should take the SMU raise that is on the table and keep his eye on the big prize, Aggie
There is no guarantee that the Aggies would hire Morris if they ever fire Sumlin.

Big pay bump, better conference, better fanbase, better facilities so why exactly is he making a mistake by going to Baylor?
I guess you did not watch the 60 Minutes piece on the Baylor Rape Coverup scandal... I do not know how you would voluntarily go to that Craphole, Unless something is seriously wrong with you... some of the culprits are STILL in power there. I would not trust anyone in that administration. I hope he enjoys losing... I guess he got a good taste of it at SMU and decided he wants more losses because that is all I see for him at Baylor. Big Mistake Chad.
This right here. Not to mention, no recruits, no one is recruiting because they are all gone after the season. The new "interim" president was asked why he kept the assistants in that 60 minutes program and he said, "they went after the people at the top", but they kept Ramsower who was the main culprit in the cover up, so they continue to lie. DOEd and DOJ are investigating. Plus Dallas > Waco every day of the week. An incredibly stupid move, no matter the money.

Better support and better conference at Baylor. Good move if he takes it.

I wonder if he will be telling all of the rape-U fans how his daddy used to take him to their games when he was a kid, etc. etc.etc.
I think we are seeing what Chad is really like as a person and not the persona he displays as a coach who claims he came here to 'bring us back to respectability'.

PFs is making my head spin over this. Good God!!!
If we lose Chad Morris to Baylor, I will lay blame where it belongs. . . at the feet of Bill Clements and Kenneth Pye. Discuss amongst yourselves.
Happy Thanksgiving!!

The team is respectable.

Don't condemn the coach until there is a result. Morris told the players he wasn't going anywhere.
Rebel, I think the smoke is thick enough that if he DOES end up going to Baylor, this deal was in place a long time ago. Back in September. So the whole game promoting the charity would be just a bit to give him reputation as cracking down before going to Baylor. That is kind of shady. Plus they aren't going to let him bring his staff, so he would mess a lot of his staff over. And he would have lied to players. IF he does go, it doesn't look good on him and doesn't reflect the image he has been projecting. That is the biggest problem I have with it, IF he goes. But I don't think he will.

You don't know if Baylor will let him bring some of his coaches. You also don't know when the deal was done as you say don't condemn the man. You also thought that Baylor would give all their players on the team releases before the season and thereby creating there own death penalty. You were wrong as usual.

Head coach hires his staff. Who else would? Not a Jerry Jones organization.

All that rape stuff be damned eh? some classy posters on this board. Hold the Baylor football program in the same esteem as Pedophile State.

And Penn State seems to be having a pretty good year with their recently hired coach. And I am not a Penn State fan. Just because something was messed up in the past does not mean a person can't come in and change things for the better.

Baylor covers up murder and rape and we get punished. Sounds about right.

No guarantee, but he has a helluva lot better chance if he gets SMU to 9 or 10 wins next year, than what will most likely by a mediocre to bad record at Baylor. ...And also consider this. Even IF, and big IF, he has success at Baylor before the TAMU job opens up, The Aggies will take a dim view of him jumping over to Rapist University and bailing on SMU. They have an honor code that they take seriously, and IMO, Morris will be tainted to them. My twin brother thinks so, and he is an Aggie Alumni.... so there's that..
Beat the hell out of anybody!
