I believe the Big 12 and Big East both have a 2-year process for a school to leave their conferences.

Do you mean when does the conference evaluation period end? The next round of auto-bid changes could go into effect in 2012. The evaluation period is the 2008-2011 seasons. ESPN already has the future tv contract locked up.

I dont see the Pac-10 looking like this at all. I really have a hard time seeing the Pac-10 going to 16 teams without Texas/A&M. Unless that happens they move to 12 teams so they can have a championship and call it a day.

isnt the pac 10 a little far away from Texas. I cannot imagine these teams going to places like oregon and washington for conference games. Distance wise, the big east is even close than the pac 10

No, it would be at least 2 years due to the Television Contracts already in place. TV runs everything

Neither are Missouri or Notre Dame. Nebraska is ranked higher than Missouri, and Notre Dame isn't an AAU member. I assume those are things they are willing to overlook if there is any truth to all of this.

Unless they are only going to add Pitt and Rutgers, they don't have a lot of options that meet their current standards. However, all Nebraska would have to do is link the medical school to the UNL campus (like most of the Big 10 schools do) and its ranking won't be much of an issue. Right now the med center is its own entity in the university system.
