Mitch - your first post that I actually agree with you. JJ has to have lost the support of pretty much anyone that has kept up with these shenanigans. I hope he stays in the short term, only so we can make the move to AQ conference, solidify another recruiting class or two, and to be on the lookout for his replacement. What a jerk.

Here's hoping we can keep Klemm in the process of showing JJ the door.

I agree we'll be OK.

Thing is...we have the talent right now. These guys are big, strong, and fast. Compare them to our opponents. Most of the time we were the better athletes.

Even though quarterback didn't deliver...who cares? A good coach can modify his plays to suit his quarterback. June doesn't modify. QB has to fit his scheme or else. That is a failed model.

So much progress....we are close....I don't think June can take us to the next level. But how he leaves can sure knock us back down.

If we keep Prinz and Gilbert is back on the field next year, I like our chances with our without Mr. I Refuse to Wear SMU Colors

Only aTm, TCU, USM, and UH had better athletes. But in the Big East that changes quickly. I think June wants out before that happens.

but how many better recruits does that help us reel in? how many recruits on rivals mention that we might be going to an AQ conference ... the majority

I guess then we should be competitive in the Big East from that start according to what you are saying right? Not trying to be combative just asking.

I stopped reading on page three. I don't think June leaves and we will forget about this at next years bowl.

No not at all. I think we'll likely have a very tough schedule for a couple years, but i also think our recruiting will pick up once we are actually in an AQ conference and hopefully close the gap between our athletes and the other big east teams.

Good post Sarge, I also agree with you. I was going to post something similiar last night but using a different analogy.

JJ just dropped a turd in the Punch Bowl.

Looks like ASU maybe isn’t that interested after all, so ECM, RSfan, IPP and a few others quickly fished it out and say it’s no big deal, but the point is EVERYONE saw and now most of us don’t want any more Hawaiian Punch.

Gilbert isn't eligible until 2013.
