What part of Tweeting "I never want to set foot on campus again" to the largest fan base in the World is representing well? Oh well, it's clear they went to June Jones University not SMU...and they wonder why they feel like outsiders.
This wont get turned around with an us vs them twitter battle. As idiotic as their statements are, you really have to kill them with kindness. We needs to continue the Hart "SMU is renewing its commitment to football" narrative. Otherwise the media will just love to play up the troubled SMU program on a downward spiral story, death penalty blah blah blah....

Because it paid for his education where as at UNT he would have had to pay. Simple decision.

This sentence is saying the meanest things about that blond weener dog. This sentence is telling y'all the inappropriate things I heard him say in a conversation while he thought so much about himself and thought he was so funny and adorable.

The JJ assistant coach gravy train was jumped the tracks. The SMU alumni network is alive and well. The person behind the desk you are asking for a job may take a dim view of you disparaging their SMU degree.
My advice, if you can't say something nice, STFU.

It paid for something, but not what he wanted. He wouldn't be talking about on-line classes to get what he wants, if he got the education he wanted at SMU. Nothing simple about that. More like a waste of time. Assuming he would have been the average college player, that doesn't play in the NFL, why waste time getting a degree you don't want, when you'll have to go back and take more college classes to get the degree you want. Classes which you'll have to pay for, while you don't have a job because you have degree in something you have no desire to do.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on all this 35straight. I've never heard you dog your school, quite the contrary

You know the common statement we hear "SMU went to 4 straight bowls winning 3?" Well it would be "SMU won 4 straight bowl games" except for a Cole Beasley drop. Maybe we can start remembering the negatives also instead of the positives.

Oh maybe because he thought June could get him to the pros. Which he did. And he is making a nice six figure salary now.

I don't think I have enough memory to cover negatives from the last 27 years!

Quite a few people go to college to take classes they do not want just to get a shot at the pros and not have to pay for college in case you had not noticed. He can complete his major and still get a teachers certificate after he graduates by thee way so it is not a waste of time. The other schools have easy majors for athletes that never use those majors or even graduate once their eligibility is up. I believe we have been fighting for those majors here. Glad he came here because he helped us win. Maybe that is why we are not getting better athletes like he said. Think we might need to add those majors so we can get better athletes?

He committed to Bennett. I'm sure he thought he was going to go to the pros when he got to SMU.

I love that you posted this as a former player yourself. One of CBs replies was "yeah on pony fans evidently I was known as stone hands" and someone replied "I can't remember the last pass you dropped they should remember all the hardware you brought" Humility goes a long way. A certain orthopedist on here from arguably the best smu team ever doesn't pound his chest at the schools expense

Maybe so. Maybe he thought all he needed was an opportunity and since June honored his commitment he got his opportunity.
