I hate to say it, but Padron just doesn't seem to be getting any better. He's like Romo, he'll put up decent fantasy stats, but in the end, he can't win the game for you.

I wish I had time to get to the Monday lunches, because this week JJ had better have some answers. Someone better report back.

I am getting so sick of him missing routine throws. We'll never run this offense at a high level consistently with him at QB. He'll be the starter by default and is just good enough to squeeze out enough wins to make bowls the next 2 seasons but we'll never be anything more than average with him starting.
That is the conclusion I have come to as well. Don't know how much of it is the lack of quality receivers, but I tend to think it is more on Pardon, which leads to a problem this program has had for most, if not all of its past 20+ year history....ZERO depth at QB position. JJ leading with BLM was a farce. Not having any quality depth 3 years into it, I simply don't get it

Is he really not?
Why isn't he?
Are we going to have to start all over with Kaiser next year? Simple, a 3rd round "automatic" WR would be nice. Oh yeah. and a RB that rips other defenses to shreds, even at a 185 or 190

I said before the game we would learn alot about this team tonight. We did and unfortunately it was not good. The bye will help heal some wounds and I think we will go to a bowl, but we will not play in the championship game. They lost that chance tonight. Except for Moore, we have not had good defensive backs all year and since he has been out we do not have a secondary that can stop anyone. Our D line is banged up and we do not have depth there either. The result is we are not stopping anyone. What defense we had was destroyed by Navy (whom we should not be playing.) The passing is rarely working. AR drops balls, BH also drops too many, DJ can't gain a yard after catch, Beasley is the only one who dependably catches the ball and makes yards after the catch. UTEP figured that out, let him catch because it will be a short pass and then hit him so he can't make any yards. Coach keeps saying that we need one more recruiting class to have the depth we need. I hope he is right and that some of our redshirt freshman are actually going to contribute next year.

Every team in our conference lost players this year. We can't fall back on those excuses any more in the 10th game of the season, especially given that we returned all but those 2 starters on offense. Unacceptable when our line that has played together the last 3 seasons with the exception of McJunkin, we have the leading rusher in CUSA, we have a sure handed senior as our #1 WR, and the next 2 WRs are speedsters (exactly what JJ's offense is supposedly built on), and our QB in his 2nd season in the system can't hit simple, easy routes. PLUS, we are playing mediocre teams!!!!!!!!!!

We killed ourselves in other ways, penalties and a lot of incompletions on offense and terrible tackling on defense.

We kind of stink (ok really stink) and there seemto be discipline as well as growth issues. The bummer is that the Nevada game looks more and more like the outlier as opposed to a new norm. I think Bryce does some really dumb crap, the receivers don't run routes at the same level as last year, Kyle gets frazzled, and the backs are thin if not weak. A lot of that is coaching and or discipline related. I don't see what recruiting does to fix that. It's been three years in the system and there is stupid stuff by experienced players.
