One thing that is probably slightly off topic but I've seen no one mention in any of the post-game reaction, was it just me, or did every snap seem to be low to Phillips -- just below the knees at the shins. I saw it over and over again, Phillips having to reach down to make sure he could secure the ball before looking up to check out the pass coverage. Was I just imagining this?

In answer to the questions: I think the radio probably made Phillips sound worse than he looked. He seemed to rush his throws a lot -- more than he really had to, which lead to a number of low throws. He really needs to develop a more relaxed throwing motion. However, he brings a really interesting ability to improvise to the table that I don't want pulled just yet. I think Chris really has some potential to be a Brad Smith look alike. We need to be calling the kind of plays that have opened up Smith's passing lanes at Mizzou that have allowed Smith to evolve from a scrambler all the time to a multi-dimentional threat. I'd certainly give Chris some more chances, but keep Eckert warm for series that suggest more of a passing offense (i.e. end of half, end of game, and some select situations in game).
